Hannah Wiskerchen

Multidisciplinary Artist, Dancer, and Cultural Creator

Hannah “Isabel” Wiskerchen is a multidisciplinary artist whose career has been shaped by dance, music, performance, and cultural exchange. She developed her passion from an early age through choral singing, musical theater, and dance in hip-hop crews and artistic projects, where she honed her technique, discipline, and leadership skills as a dance captain.

Her exploration of different cultures, including key experiences in Spain, significantly broadened her artistic perspective. This journey strengthened her deep connection to music and movement, as well as her ability to engage with spaces in an inclusive and community-oriented way.

Her journey led her to Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica, where she has become a fundamental pillar in uniting dance with human connection. Through initiatives like Baila Caribe, Azúcar Club, and Academia Azúcar, she has developed experiences focused on teaching salsa, bachata, and Latin rhythms.

Through iconic local events like Noches de Azúcar and far-reaching projects like Azúcar Fest, Isabel continues to create platforms where dancers, artists, locals, and visitors come together. For her, dance transcends the artistic performance: it is the ultimate tool to unite people and celebrate culture.
